A fabulous antique Edwardian riviere collar set with twenty-four dark green pastes that lead to an elaborate, foliate pendant decorated with green, pink and white pastes in various shapes and sizes and a gleaming cultured pearl dropper.
The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
It’s fashioned entirely in sterling silver and fitted with a box clasp that holds it securely when worn. It’s very distinct and has remained in excellent condition.
